Most of the drifts
that our guides cover on the Klamath River are 1.5 hours north of
The Fly Shop in Redding. With the unpredictability of winter
weather, the majority of our Klamath River guests prefer to stay
near the river, either at Klamathon Lodge or motels in the town
of Yreka.

Klamathon Lodge opened in 2008, and is our first choice for lodging
for our upper Klamath River trips. It is conveniently located right
on the river below Iron Gate Dam, and is an ideal location for both
winter steelhead trips and spring/summer salmonfly fishing.
