Making a Reservation for time at Riverside

The daily rate for Riverside is $595 plus a County Bed Tax of $13.50 per night for
groups up to 8 guests maximum. Cost includes full use of the house and all its amenities plus use of the three 14’ prams complete with gas and electric motors. There is a two-night minimum stay.

Riverside is a scenic 1 & 1/2 hour drive northeast out of Redding on HWY 299E. This is a drive you will want to take at a leisurely pace. Much of it has a speed limit of 55 miles per hour, and for good reason. The road is windy in many places and the scenery keeps drawing your attention.

We take reservations for Riverside anytime during the year. The season on Fall River begins on the last Saturday in April and ends November 15. Riverside is extremely popular during May, June, July & October. You will rarely be able to find available time at this property in those months if you wait until the last minute to book, and then only if there has been last minute cancelations or if you've been put onto a wait list. Most of our regular Riverside guests have us book their usual time a year in advance.

The months of August and September bring some of the most dependable hatches of the season, but the warm mid day temperatures can bother some anglers. The elevation of Riverside is 3400 feet and that means the nights always cool down. Many of our summer guests fish up until 1:00 or 2:00 PM when the hatches normally stop or sooner and then cool off during the afternoon hours and fish again in the evening when the caddis hatches come off. We have some guests who stop angling by noon, play 9 or 18 holes of golf, have an early dinner and finish the day on the river when the caddis are active.

Reservations can be made as far as two years in advance, and many summer holidays at Riverside are arranged that far ahead. The fishing season is from May through mid-November. After a verbal confirmation of your reservations we will send you a short confirmation letter showing the dates of your stay, terms of the booking & an invoice showing the cost of the trip and when deposits and final payments are due. Deposits are normally due 6 months before the trip takes place and final payments are due 2 months before. Deposits and final payments can be made with either a credit card or check. Once the deposit has been received you will be sent an information packet that tells you all about the house and the fishery.
